Happy weekend!

  One of our expenses that falls solely on the athletes each season is our warmup gear. Every preseason, we order items as a team - matching sweatpants, warmup tops, and shooting shirts. The cost of those mandatory items is usually over $100. Looking like a team is extremely important to us as we travel to other schools for away games or represent Salem State on our own turf. Your donation would help make this more affordable for us as a team! Look good, play good, right?

Happy Friday everyone!

Did you know that this is the first time Salem State University has ever participated in a Crowdfunding initiative like this? Our team is just one of the many programs involved in SSU giving back along with the nursing program, field hockey, and countless more! It is a fact that campaigns that meet a third of their goal early on are a lot more likely to meet their overall goal in the end. To this date, we have only raised $25 from one donor. But, we still have 27 days left! Help us get there and not only make this a huge success for our program but also a huge success for Salem State as a whole!

Hi again!

  Salem State Women's Lacrosse is traditionally a tight-knit team. On top of our 2 hours of practice every day, it is not uncommon to find us together almost 24/7 - whether it is at the library, at team dinners, or just hanging out. We very often say that we have 20+ sisters, not teammates. This atmosphere encourages strong friendships and lasting connections with alumni, who have all given SO much to the program. We love to see you all supporting at games and keeping in touch! As much as we'd love to take you all on spring break with us...we can't. But, you can help us reach our goal of getting there! All donations, big or small, are greatly appreciated!

Hi everyone!

  Today is a very exciting day for Salem State Women’s Lacrosse as we are launching our Crowd Funding program! As college athletes, we are lucky to have the opportunity to follow our dream and continue playing the sport we love at the next level. We begin our preseason during the first week of February. Last preseason was especially difficult for us due to all of the snow. Our turf was completely covered for the entirety of our preseason which forced us to have practice indoors at the gyms at school and a few at 5am at Danvers Indoor. We did not step on turf until our first game of the season which proved to be a disadvantage. We dedicate ourselves to the team and sacrifice our time over the season to earn a spot in the competitive Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference Playoffs. Every week as student athletes, we balance schoolwork, practice, games, team events, and community service. We also have to balance our finances. Our expenses range from practice gear to team events and the team warmups . As we look forward to our coming season in the spring of 2016, we look to raise funds to help with those expenses. This preseason, we want to get away from the snow and cold of New England and take a trip like most spring teams at Salem State and others schools do.  This trip would allow us to compete and improve as a program…and stay warm. Today also happens to be National Giving Day! Help Salem State Women’s Lacrosse by participating in this national effort; our page will be up for the month of December. No donation is too little or too small. We thank you in advance for your donation- it makes a huge difference. We hope to see you at our games this spring!
