Salem State University Field Hockey

With the pandemic interrupting our past couple seasons, our field hockey program has not had the ability to raise the appropriate funds to successful run our program.  In order to help our student athletes and alleviate some of the financial stress that comes with participating in a team sports, we are hoping to raise $3000. The monies raised will help our players success on the field with equipment upgrades, as well as the ability to utilize time off the field together without burden on our players. We recognize our success on the field stems from our progress off the field.

We would like to create an environment where our team can spend time together off the field without financial burden on them.  Our student athletes are spending their time focusing on academics and athletics. It often becomes difficult for them to participate in team outings or to purchase team gear and equipment when they have decreased the time they spend working during season. The goal with our fundraising efforts this season will be to host an end of the season banquet, as well as offer some items to players for their team gear the following season.  

We rarely utilize our second turf field because of the lack of quality nets located the field. In an ideal world, we would be able to raise enough money to add wheels to our current game nets and move our practice nets to central to better utilize the space.
