The Salem State University Accounting Association is planning a trip to the American Accounting Association Southeast Region Meeting in Savannah, Georgia. This meeting is an educational conference where varying topics in accounting are presented by PhD candidates and accounting professors. Many of the presentations cover current topics that are impacting the accounting field both within the industry and the classroom.
This conference represents a time to learn about accounting and also the pursuit of accounting research and education. Our members are excited to partake in this experience and share what we learn with the Salem State community. We believe that this trip will help us understand some of the most pressing accounting issues presenting themselves today from data analytics and Microsoft Power BI to new curriculum strategies and sustainability reporting.
The accounting association has come together to make this trip available to its members because we truly believe that it is an experience that will impact our members and inspire them to consider real problems that face the field of accounting. Your donation will help to make this trip a reality.
