Occupational Therapy Research Conference
The OT Class of 2016 needs your help in raising funds for their Graduate Research Conference on March 19, 2016!
Graduate Research Conference is a pivotal component of the Master of Science in Occupational Therapy curriculum. Students present the results of their year-long research projects as part of the conference. Over 300 occupational therapy practitioners, ancillary health service personnel, faculty members, and students from across New England attend this exciting annual event. The students plan the conference as a part of their studies and, in the process, learn to:
• Secure a prominent keynote speaker •Procure vendors • Determine food and media needs • Create a brochure • Organize the conference structure • Develop and disseminate participant surveys
The students responsible for planning and executing this day-long conference are also responsible for raising the funds to cover the costs of such an ambitious endeavor. Costs include but are not limited to:
• Hotel meeting room space, technology, and food • Keynote speaking fee and travel expenses • Decorations • Marketing
