A TRADITION OF EXCELLENCE
Salem State Women's Soccer has qualified for the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference's post-season tournament for the past 4 seasons. With the ultimate goal of securing the MASCAC championship and an NCAA tournament berth, the Vikings play an aggressive non-league schedule, including 3 opponents who were ranked in the top 10 of New England throughout the season.
In addition to the team's on-field success, the student-athletes representing this program are among the best academic performers as well. With a team GPA of 3.01 in 2014, the Vikings have maintained a high level of classroom achievement while also finding time to give back to the community. Women's soccer players have worked with Girls INC of Lynn to provide mentoring and sports clinics during the academic year, and have emerged as role models for the younger players they work with.
WE NEED YOUR HELP
With the drive to be the best, and recruit the best, we need to provide the best in overall student-athlete experience to the young women who choose SSU. As the economy slowly recovers we continue to face a lack of financial resources to help offer student-athletes the equipment and travel considerations that being a championship program require. Players are currently responsible for purchasing their own practice gear and warm-ups, and regularly supplement the travel per diem afforded by the department for meals. We are also limited in our travel outside of New England, as bus and hotel costs would increase the out of pocket hardship our players already face.

As we honor this year's seniors and prepare for 2016, any contribution helps. Our goal is to provide warm-ups, practice gear, and an out of region trip as part of our August preseason. 100% of your gift will benefit the Women's Soccer Program and help to provide a superior student-athlete experience.
